SWI is proving you can work smarter, not harder.
While many sheet metal forming equipment manufacturers are touting their automated solutions, the proof is in SWI’s numbers. Check out the stats of the part forming automation after just one day of demonstrations during Australian Manufacturing Week in Melbourne, Australia.
The system logged 354 completed parts in just under 10 hours. The significance of this was summed up nicely by Darren Monson, VP of Sales at SWI.

1. CX5 Coil Changer picks coil material
according to job specifications.

2. Coils are loaded into the Uncoiler and fed into the slitter.

3. Marxman Pro Slitter automatically adjusts blades to the width of the part specification.

4. Sheet Loader System collects and sorts blanks, then positions into Long Folder.

5. Duplex Long Folder bends sheet metal material to part specs.

6. Part Handler/Unloader collects finished parts and moves to collection area.
“Production numbers like this can easily exceed what some of our customers do in real life in an average day of production — let alone running demonstrations at a trade exhibit. The key is our automation that allows us to run these kinds of numbers in just a short span of time with little to no operator intervention.”
While SWI is not the first to introduce production automation, the ease-of-use of SWI machinery, combined with proven output, is sure to make an impact on the rural builder marketplace.
Jason Smoak of SWI adds, “We can automate an entire production line for those companies looking to take it to the next level. By themselves, SWI machines are very reliable and easy to operate. But working together as an automated solution, we are achieving exceptional production capacity…from coil to finished part.”
