This is the first Source Book I have been part of, and I must say, “Well done, builders and suppliers!” You constructed this book with all of the beautiful projects you sent in, and I think the results are amazing. The variety and pride of workmanship are truly inspiring. Thanks for making the 2022 edition of the Source Book a success!

Now, a word to those whose projects were not chosen. There are only so many spaces to fill, and sometimes perfectly good projects are left on the sidelines. If your project was one of those, you will likely see it cropping up as a Project of the Month in Rural Builder or possibly in Frame Building News. However, there were also projects that were missing crucial elements: a healthy list of components with their suppliers, hi-res photos including a good one of the whole building, or a paragraph or two about the project. If you recognize that this was your case, you are welcome to supply us with the missing pieces and we will reconsider your project for publication.

I would like to encourage everyone to compile pictures and component lists on projects all year round and send them in…there is no such thing as too much Free PR!

Moving on, I want to be sure that everyone knows about the Buyer’s Guide; it is changing form. No longer will the Buyer’s Guide appear in the October edition of Rural Builder, or any of our other publications. Starting with our 2023 Directory, there  will be one book that includes supplier listings from all of our publications…everything you need in one place!

Every one of our print subscribers will receive a copy of this directory at the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. Manufacturers and suppliers click here if you are interested in information about being included in this directory.
